About Sriram Krishnamurthy
A hereditary musician of the Banaras Gharana, Sriram is a third-generation classical vocalist trained under his grandfather Pandit Raghunath Krishnamurthy and the late Pandit Rajan Mishra. He is an A-grade artist of All India Radio and has performed at Sawai Gandharva Bhimsen Mahotsav (Pune), Dhrupad Mela (Varanasi), and the Sankat Mochan Sangeet Samaroh. Besides vocal, Sriram teaches Sitar with a focus on the Vilayat Khan style. He runs the Nada Brahma Music School from his family's heritage haveli near Dashashwamedh Ghat, accepting students for short-term residential learning.
