Terence Lewis is India's most celebrated contemporary dancer and choreographer — a 4-time Guinness World Record holder, founder of the Terence Lewis Contemporary Dance Company (TLCDC) and the Terence Lewis Professional Training Institute (TLPTI), and the iconic judge of Dance India Dance, Nach Baliye and India's Best Dancer. Born in Mumbai, he trained at the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater and the Martha Graham Center in New York, and was the first Indian to receive a fully-funded DanceWeb scholarship at ImPulsTanz, Vienna. He introduced contemporary dance to Indian television audiences at large, choreographed for Bollywood films including Lagaan (2002 American Choreography Award), Jhankaar Beats and Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela, and was awarded an Honorary Doctorate in Performing Arts and Dance. His TLCDC was voted India's No. 1 dance company. He also served as an ICCR-impancelled artist representing India on a European tour.
